Butterscotch seat question

thanks for the heads up

You're right...looks close...however I believe the interior portion of the seats are actually cloth/velour. The angled shot into the drivers side looks like brush marks on the fabric. They did a nice job on the seats though. Looks good with the rest of the butterscotch...if you like butterscotch:laugh:

thanks again

I hope everyone is doing well this evening.

I have also been looking without success for what I thought were butterscotch seat covers but am now told that this is not the proper color for a '78 280z. My seats and interior are a deep golden brown color identical to the center portion of Arne's seats as shown in the photo of his seats.

I thought it was butterscotch but now I'm told that this is actually known as ginger!

So I'm wondering if butterscotch is really the lighter color of the bolsters in the two-tone seats pictured here.

Does anyone know anything about this or have any idea on which color is which?

Thanks!

answers? I've got what seams to be a totally stock 78 and am looking to replace the seat covers with stock material. I think the color is called Butterscotch but only got that idea from the ebay add that said they were out of Butterscotch which looked like my color. Can anyone tell me what the true stock color is called and if they know where i can buy some new covers?

You might try Les at Classic Datsun. When I was at his shop on Monday we were talking about Butterscotch interior parts. He is thinking about make a batch of Butterscotch interior panels for 73 and below cars, based on demand, because he knows that there are not easy to come by, which would also lead him to getting the seat covers. It could be a good place to try. www.classicdatsun.com
