gnosez Posted July 23, 2007 Share #17 Posted July 23, 2007 I'm not sure any of the BSR valve covers were actually installed on any of the cars themselves but were more of an after-market, sales effort at the time. The BSR/Newman 280 ( a 240 with 280 taillights) that ran in CP and GTU looks to be coming up for auction next year. It had undergone a $100k restoration and was run at both the ZCCA NY and NH conventions. I'd expect it to go for over $175k with lots of spare parts and misc. historical items.Whatever Z you're talking about, a simple pre-race refreshing could run you a few thousand at the very least. Ron Carter Posted July 23, 2007 Share #18 Posted July 23, 2007 Well it is interesting that all these race cars are coming up for sale, and all of a sudden. I guess it is about time that we see the famous race cars come up and sell for good money...BTW, Brad Frisselle's IMSA Z car that is (perfectly restored) is for sale for 275k...I must say that I do like the IMSA Z's and this car would be a deal at anything less than 80k. Carl Beck Posted July 30, 2007 Share #19 Posted July 30, 2007 It's the real thing - I'd "guess" at least $45K.. perhaps higher. Most likely a bargain at anything under $50K to $60KFWIW,Carl B.Bidding ended at $50,100.00 Reserve not meet..Should have been left in its original Camel Colors...FWIW,Carl B.
