Yet again, another 4x4 brake question

89 Toyota 4x4 calipers are $102 on autozone. Only cost $40 after the core sell back. Now, if I order these do I have to worry that I got the right ones? Are there more then 1 type?

Also, will autozone take back the calipers from a 240z as the core return?

They might, although the core agreement says that you are supposed to return the same make and model parts as you bought. If you get someone who knows what they are and can tell the difference, they may refuse to accept the 240Z calipers, but chances are they won't know the difference.

So what's the part # at Autozone?

I was thinking about ordering online, that is the thing. I could always go to my autozone and see what part numbers they have. What number am I looking for anyways? Isn't supposed to say "S 30" on it?

are you doing the solid rotor conversion? if so, isn't '89 a later model? i just went to autozone.com, put an '83 toyota 4x4 as one of my cars, and got the part number from the pair of loaded calipers.

I guess it is the solid one. I am not going for the vented setup. Just going to get some 4x4 rotors and stay with the stock rotor size. Though I am thinking of getting some Powerslot slotted rotors instead of oem rotors. I thought that I was looking for years 84 through 89.

if you're just replacing the calipers and aren't changing type of rotor (ie 240Z or direct replacement) get the '83. they say "s12" on them.

the part number is: P820

i've noticed that the price has gone up ~$50 from when i bought them a few months ago.
