Elwood: What kind of music do you usually have here?

Claire: Oh, we got both kinds. We got country and western.

I was subjected to country music when I was a kid. Forced to listen to Dolly, Kenny, and Waylon in the car when on trips with the parents, and sometimes at home. I can still remember the lyrics to most of the songs. There should've been a law against it.

I have memories of being driven around in the Mitzi L300 with it playing on the tape cassette player. That and Boney-M.

After all that I cant stand country music.

Rick,

You may get away with statements like that here, but If I told "she who must be obeyed", I bet your tune would change mighty quick-or the next country song would be about you and what was left over when she got through!!!!

Careful guys, knowing Rick this could be just the bait to the trap...and we know he doesn't take prisoners. He just keeps zapping them from time to time, witness Bill's on-going skirmish. What's the score now Rick, 57 to 2 or 3 in your favor?

As far as Country, what about Country Rock which you don't often hear any more. Marshall Tucker Band, Waylon Jennings, Hank Williams Jr., David Allan Coe just a few favorites from times gone by.

i saw marshall tucker band with charlie daniels band and the outlaws a couple months ago. free concert FTW!!

Ok, Jason, you're now on my hate list with a bullet!!! LOL

Rick:

Of COURSE, I trust you.

I trust you to tell us you'll respect us in the morning, only put the tip in, and make sure we enjoy it!

Do you think Bill is keeping a low profile because you're a bad shot?

Mr. Camo, the only thing I can say is this There's a tear in my beer for you.

But do you know what happens when you play a country song backwards?

You get your wife back, your money back, your truck back, and your dog comes back to life!

I like all kinds of music. In the area of country, I guess the bands I like are really more crossover country/rock/pop types like ZZTop, Atlanta Rhthym Section, Lynryd Skynard, Molly Hatchett, Marshall Tucker, Black Crowes(don't know if they really fit the catagory), etc.

I'm with you, that's about as close to country as I like to get. Not a big fan of both kinds of music "Country and Western" LOL. When I was in college I got a job with event security and heard/saw/worked some concerts like ZZ Top in Spokane. 38 Special opened for them. So much of the newer country music sounds like everything else today it's getting hard to tell the difference. Less twang and slide guitar. I do kind of get sentimental for country when I hear some of the old songs like "Guitars and Cadillacs" that used to play on the jukebox at my late father's tavern when I worked for him.

Hey,

What about Marty Robbins, Jimmy Rodgers, Johnny Horton, and as far as groups go, you can't beat Alabama.

Righto Rick!

I agree about his American inflection while singing-I have wondered about that with several singers who speak with a pronounced (native to their upbringing) accent, but sing with a completely different one. I have only a couple of songs he does that I thoroughly enjoy, but then that is true of most of the artists I listen to.

Are you just pissed that you didn't get a shot at his wifeROFLROFL after tom cruize:stupid: got bent:stupid: and let her go:stupid:?
