Sheash Women.....:dead:

That's a really horrible thing to say. I just asked a simple question because I didn't know. I am thirsty for knowledge and you've got to be cruel about it. I work in auto parts and I get a lot of people like that everyday. I wish I could come here and leave that behind.

But I guess I can't.

Yutaka Katayama (片山豊) (5 September 1909 - ), also known as Mr K, was an executive of Nissan Motors USA and is regarded by Datsun/Nissan Z Car enthusiasts as the father of the Z-Car. He was sent to the United States by Nissan in 1960 to do market research, after which he returned to Nissan in Japan and persuaded the company to start its own sales company in the United States. In 1970, he introduced the Datsun 240Z car, which Nissan had originally wanted to be named the Fairlady.

The quest for knowledge is never stupid, knowing is half the battle and now you know.

Thank you. That's what I wanted to know.

Please Don't judge the rest of us based on any Bill hailing from Arkansaw!

Mr. Ramsey, I am sure, was trying to be funny and missed the mark. The more famous Bill-well he is just the kind everyone warned you about, and should be in jail.

I didn't know who Mr. K was until a healthy number of years spent owning and restoring Zs. If you can't ask here, where could you ask? There are a great many books on him, and a healthy number of threads here about him, as well as a tremendous wealth of information in several articles on Zhome- http://zhome.com/History/DesignEvolution/AmericanGT.htm

this one for example.

:ermm:you're a twenty year old woman Darbji and the universal truth is there men out there who are just plain thickheaded when it comes to changing their outlook on women. I appreciate you first for being a Z nut and second for having the guts to jump into a "man's" world. So don't let comments like that get under your skin, I mean he is from Arkansas after all:devious:

I believe the more I look over it, the boy was only joking. I don't think any harm was meant here. But, you're right. There are guys like that out there and I am ever exposed to it because I do put myself in place where traditionally only the men belong. I should be used to it by now but I'm not. I tend to snap when people insinuate that Kharma doesn't belong in the hands of a woman. I am just as much of a man as anyone else when it comes to driving that machine.

Darbji:

If we were to TRY to number the times that Billy Boob has proved himself...on this forum ALONE... to be more of a plain old idiot than a horse's arse, we'd still be counting when the internet becomes inter-galactic.

Not to say that he hasn't proved himself to be bluntly stupid in his attempt to have you notice him.

His method of getting attention from the any of the ladies that have joined this forum is akin to having a 5 year old boy punch a 5 year old girl, or the 14 year old who, on a dare, flips a 14 year old's skirt up so everybody gets a laugh, but secretly has a crush on the girl.

Like I told you on another thread, Billy still does not have enough blood in his system to keep his brain operating while he's busy being a rutty fool.

Ignore him.

Believe me, there are far more of us that would gladly "suffer" your questions simply to share ... and discuss ... the history and knowledge of the Z that we all love. I would rather answer a sincere question coming from someone with a true desire to know than to trade posts with someone who, in trying to prove they know something, are willing to argue cluelessly.

So believe me, while we definitely have a high tolerance for "stupid" questions(which they aren't), I hope the replies to your posts and the chastisements to Billy Boob show you that what we're not very tolerant of is....STUPID people.

You'd think that Billy would have finally learned something, but he just proves my point.
