the other day i received a certified letter in the mail, I picked up the letter from the post office. It was a form for power of attorney for the transfer of title on my 280z(wtf!). Now i purchased my z about 5 months ago and the title has been in my name since i bought it, so i called the original owner of my z. I left him a message to call me back, and then proceeded to look at my title, the power of attorney form, and my 280z. I took a look at the vin#s on all three, and there was the problem. seems like whoever inspected my z got one digit in my vin number wrong. a 7 looked like a one. so i took my z over to the mvd got the old girl reinspected, and the correct title in hand. soon after the original owner calls me back and i explain what happened to him. after which he informs me that he has some spare z parts that he wanted to give me. score!!! I went to his house and he gave me the original intake, afm, 4 new struts, a new alternator, a brand new oem camshaft, the original throttle body (the one i have on there is way bigger) and a host of other misc parts. not bad for one certified letter LOL.
