August 8, 200717 yr Author comment_217780 thanks!Anyone know what the E30 is off of? That is what was on my Z. I had thought it was a 72 since that was the car that I got it from, but I guess they had switched it at some point in time. Did the early 280's with the square exhaust ports have smog pumps? August 9, 200717 yr Author comment_217853 Will an early 280Z manifold work with carbs on a 240 (e88 head)? Would that be a workable way to get away from the airpump rail? August 9, 200717 yr comment_217860 N47 heads have round exhaust ports. The rest have square exhaust ports. You can use a squared exhaust manifold on a round head like the N47 but you can not use a round exahaust manifold for a square exhaust ported head. I would use the E-30 manifold instead of an exhaust manifold from a 280Z. Just block off the airpump rail. The E-30 is smaller and looks better. My 2 cents Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/25108-exhaust-manifod-id-numbers/#findComment-217860 Share on other sites
