August 9, 200717 yr Author comment_217926 In Portugal, this strong and lovely car has only near 50 examples on the country. It`s very value because it`s rare! Please look at this auction on UK Ebay at NIssan Dealers 240z! http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=160139888688&ru=http://search.ebay.com:80/160139888688_W0QQ_trksidZm37QQfromZR40QQfviZ1 One thing that I would like too debate with you, it`s the wheels that all Portuguese 240z cars have. I already read in some books and that wheels are the magnesium wheels, the same that were sold with the Fairlady 432, please see the next link and look at the pictures, and see the white Fairlady 432, look at them and see my wheels in restoration project... THEY ARE THE SAME... We were very lucky to have them and all the Portuguese cars have them. http://www.saudihotwheels.com/vb/showthread.php?t=326 http://www.megagaleria.com/pictures/Pic_9522_14.jpg http://www.megagaleria.com/pictures/Pic_9522_15.jpg That was currently proved by Nissan dealers, so many books should be written again Filipe A Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/25154-240z-portuguese-restoration/#findComment-217926 Share on other sites

THEY ARE THE SAME... We were very lucky to have them and all the Portuguese cars have them.Filipe AThere is nothing to debate. They are (well appear to be) Kobe Seiko manufactured wheels that were a Nissan option for JDM Fairlady Z. Cast magnesium. Fixing points for a small centre cap. Also quoted as an 'Option' part for the S30 Fairlady Z-L and S30-S Fairlady Z. Manufacturing date was stamped onto each wheel, as magnesium was recognised as having a limited life expectancy for safe road use. Usually painted dull gunmetal colour.( Chief Designer Yoshihiko Matsuo wanted all models of the S30-series Z to have 4-spoke alloy wheels, but this was overruled for reasons of cost - so only the 432 got them in the end ).from thread http://www.classiczcars.com/forums/showthread.php?t=21186 post #19.All Portuguese 240Z got them as standard? Cool.Do yours have date stamps on them and what size are they? August 10, 200717 yr Author comment_217988 HiYes, mines has date stamps on them, but as time has passed and they were painted, and it does`nt nottest very weel.I tought these wheels came only in the Fairlady 432, but appears that Japan and Portugal has very good friendship relations, and all Portuguese cars that were imported through "Entreposto Comercial" at the time has it, and it has 5 wheels per car! That means some books have wrong information about that. Someone at UK Z CLub told that Portuguese HLS30 is one of the best, because It has all extras and options available.I love very much my car, that is going to be painted in 907 Raving Green. I wil post pictures from this time on.
