76Datsun280z Posted August 15, 2007 Share #2 Posted August 15, 2007 Hey there, you'll have to state what model your Z is, but here is one for a 280z if that so happens to be what yours is. Shot at 2007-08-
sblake01 Posted August 15, 2007 Share #3 Posted August 15, 2007 However, that's an HVAC vacuum diagram and his car probably doesn't even have AC. We seem to get that (or something like it) whenever someone just wants an underhood simple vacuum diagram. That said, we'd still need to know what year. Arne Posted August 15, 2007 Share #4 Posted August 15, 2007 You know, this comes up often enough that we need to deal with it properly. The lack of diagrams in even the factory service manuals is a problem.Perhaps those of us who own stock, unmodified cars could draw up a diagram, one for each model year. I can do this for a US market '71 240Z, who else wants to take a stab at this?
Rockr69 Posted August 15, 2007 Share #5 Posted August 15, 2007 Wow! I been askin for that for months! I'd do a 76 but mine is all messed up.
sblake01 Posted August 16, 2007 Share #6 Posted August 16, 2007 75-78 I can do. I've posted them a couple of times over the years on this site. It's the earlier ones that are hard to find.
Go240Zags Posted August 16, 2007 Share #7 Posted August 16, 2007 Do you mean tube or hose ? Sorry, couldn't resist. Had an college roommate once with a '48 Pontiac Businessman's Coupe, it had vacuum tubes, but they were in the factory radio.
76Datsun280z Posted August 16, 2007 Share #8 Posted August 16, 2007 Sorry about posting that diagram, I was using that one for my car and just automatically posted it. I should have asked first what model car you have.

I have a 1983 280zx280ZX vacuum diagrams aren't that difficult to find. They're in the FSM Basically, anything 1974 and down is where it gets kind of sketchy.
