I just joined the forum and I am excited to learn about other's Z adventures. I have a 74 260Z that I bought 2 years ago from the original owner! My dream car as a kid. It is in really good shape. The body had some dings and dents, but NO rust. The interior -- a small tear in the drivers seat and one crack on dash. It came with an 8 track stereo which I changed out to CD. It is basically stock but I have had dents repaired, painted it and added a rear spoiler. The original engine has 77000 miles. We changed the carbs to early round top SUs from 240Z. Added headers. I do have some problems with these but not as much as the original carbs. I have had some problems with the adjustment and keeping them in sync. Right now I am looking at dash crack solutions, wanting to complete the exhaust, and get tires for the old school slotted mags that I bought with the car. I am always looking for suggestions to make it better (and faster!) I have learned a lot from reading all the threads. I need to learn more, and need to learn how to work on my car myself! My dad was an old Datsun mechanic, but recently passed away. Boy do I wish I would have paid closer attention when he tried to teach me about cars.
