Because you stole it, now it won't work and will cause your motor to sieze, costing you far more than if you had paid for it in the first place! :beard:

hey it was at ajunk yard it was prolly gonna get smashed sooner or later but ask your self...wouldnt you do the same?

I would have paid for it.

What you did was pure theft. It's true the car will get crushed eventually, but that is no excuse to steal parts. The salvage yards are there to make money, just like anyone else trying to run a business.

Ditto!

I agree on that, but lets say hypothetically (If I spelled that right) Your have a Wreck Yard that is notorious for crushing rare cars with rare parts and theres a rusted 240Z that jus happens to have a set of Z432 rims on them and was next in line to be crushed tomorrow and all your attempts to buy the car or any parts have failed simply because they rather crush the Z and sell it for Scrap metal, what do you do then?

Mind you that Z432 rims I seen go for $6,000 US in rusted, JACKED UP condition and

that was in Japan

"hypothetically" Thats a mouth full of s--t - Theft is theft - what if the car was parked "by" a junk yard for a year. Seemed to be abandoned and had a BRE oil cooler - maybe that would be ok too. I hope not but there's not much difference.

I'm getting vertigo up on this pulpit, not used to the heights.

im in and out of the wrecking yards twice a week and the things i see people stealing is crazy. theft is theft justifey it to yourself all you want. if it's not yours and you take it than pay for it, a few years ago my doctor friend whom can buy a 8000 3.1 ltr from rebello got caught at ecology with parts in his pockets. they told him to pay up or the police will be called. to say the least he was embarrased as hell.

if i owned a wrecking yard i would have a scale at the entrance weighting people before and after leaving the yard. to see how much weight they have gained in a hour or two.
