zbane Posted August 19, 2007 Share #26 Posted August 19, 2007 At least you all seem to have access to Pick and Pull yards. Those that I have found around me will not let you on the lot (insurance reasons, they say).

FairladyZS30 Posted August 19, 2007 Author Share #28 Posted August 19, 2007 So you guys are sweet and innocent angles? You've never taken something for nothing? Never Borrowed something permanently? Ever got back too much change for something you bought and did'nt say anything, even after you realized it? Let he who is without sin, cast the first stone.Nuff said. And if any of you who critisized him think your perfect or guilt free, think again.Dave.Now say sorry, congradualte him on finding and rescuing a very rare part and get on with your lives. As for the Z-GODS, they too are happy that the part is in better hands and will be reserected from certain doom.PS, Nice find and rescue FailadyZS30see! if there were more people like this guy the world would be a better place:D
KDMatt Posted August 19, 2007 Share #29 Posted August 19, 2007 So you guys are sweet and innocent angles? You've never taken something for nothing? Never Borrowed something permanently? Ever got back too much change for something you bought and did'nt say anything, even after you realized it? Yep, that pretty much sums it up. Congrats on the score, even though you said you didn't pay for some of it. :tapemouth
Fun_in_my_z Posted August 19, 2007 Share #30 Posted August 19, 2007 like im saying dont judge anyone until you have walked in there shoes, and this same junk yard also has jipped me for some windows that didnt even fit in my car and they gave me a lil receipt saying if i find those same ones that willa cutally fit my cal i can take them....and when i did the receipt only had 3 more days till expired and i had to end up paying for them so serves them right true story...i didnt even end up using the windows So its a picknpull that you have to take the windows out yourself and THEY screwed you over? mbc Posted August 19, 2007 Share #31 Posted August 19, 2007 Somebody needs to lock or delete this thread. The kid is 19 give 'em a break for crying out loud. The oil cooler was a great find regardless of how he got it.
nism0zed Posted August 19, 2007 Share #32 Posted August 19, 2007 I would have stole it too.the ONLY thing i would have considered as i stood there looking at it is "Is anyone looking"I used to be nice, and do the right thing by people, even did a LOT of favours for people and what did i get for my troubles EVERY TIME? I got screwed.Lesson? The world is not a nice place, take what you can and make what you will of it.
Mr Camouflage Posted August 19, 2007 Share #33 Posted August 19, 2007 So people are condoning theft now? How would you feel if someone stole parts out of your garage, or from your car, or from your business.
Zs-ondabrain Posted August 19, 2007 Share #34 Posted August 19, 2007 Hell, I am STILL nice to people everyday, I do the right thing even when I hate doing it. I give money to the poor, I work for free half the time for people who could pay me but I feel bad for them cause they're on Social Security or retirement funds. I help friends and family without question and 90% of the time, for free.I'm not saying that stealing is right or justified but.... No one got hurt (physically) the part was on a car that cost less than a $100 at some auction that was bought to make a profit off of somebodys misfortune. The Pull-a-Part near me charges just to look at the car to see if they have what you need and if the car is stripped and has nothing you can use, you're still out the entry fee.In other words, the junk yard made more than their fare share off that car and the rest would have went to the scrap heap. It's a dog eat dog world. I give all and take what I need. Sorry for the length of each post but there is no simple explaination to defending someones right to what they deserve. It's not like he stole it to sell it and buy drugs with. He rescued it as far as I'm concerned.Lock this thread Mike. Poke it with a fork, it's done.Dave.
HizAndHerz Posted August 19, 2007 Share #35 Posted August 19, 2007 Changing direction:Junk yards are so wacky in their pricing. I brought an intercooler and oil cooler up to the cashier and she didn't know what either were and could find no price for either in their system. She brough her supervisor over and they ended up charging me for a heater core ($17 for the intercooler) and an oil sensor ($3 for the oil cooler).Next time I went up with a hood safety catch (flat piece of metal). I expected to pay $2 at the most. The cashier would only ring it up as the whole hood latch for $20.Sometimes chickens, sometimes feathers. hls30.com Posted August 19, 2007 Share #36 Posted August 19, 2007 Dave, how would you feel if it was your parts car the piece came off and you were selling its parts to make a living? Have you made your fair share of selling harnesses and upgrades that we should feel ok about stealing them? Two bad actions do not cancel out-now the junk yard has annother justification for treating customers the way they did-it isn't him against me, and it doesn't end untill someone is the bigger man and takes his money elsewhere the next time. He is 19, and just like most people will not learn better unless he is expected, and held accountable to. No one hurt threatened, of forced him to read their posts, they may have given him a rough time over his actions, but how did anything done in this forum really hurt him? A thread that deals with issues like this is important and as long as no one gets insulting, or inflamatory, and remains factual I don't see a reason to close it.Consequence is tought or ignored-and there is a consequence to that as well.I want a better world for my kids.Wingo-that is the best post of yours I have read I'll have to think of an appropriate and justifiable response!!Can you really steal someoneelses garbage? Maybe if there is salvage value? Will
