when my temp gets that high i get nervous :P

Ditto. Mine never goes past half-way... though I seem to recall something about the later Z's having a slightly different cooling system? (bigger rad. overflow tank, etc.) ... Regardless

Also, Oil pressure should be in the neighborhood between 30 and 60 as far as I know (both from experience and from talking to other owners)... at least on regular 10w-30 oil, I'd imagine it would be a bit more if you were using... say, 20w-40 or something like that.

At idle my oil pressure is about 30 when the engine is warm... and around 40/45 when it is cold. On the freeway (at higher rpm and under load) the pressure stays around 55 or 60... and I'm told that this is normal.

that picture was taken at idle after about 3 minutes of run time. i use

10w30 mobil1 synthetic.

I recently drained my gas tank and now it seems there is something that is plugging up the line because i cant seem to get any fuel to my fuel filter with my electric fuel pump. I drained a little bit of gas right now and it seemed to clear up the problem. I think it was that or maybe my hoses weren't tight enough and i didn't have enough suction. Where exactly is the pick up for the gas inside the gas tank anyways?

so OEM is 170??? Why does it show standard as being 180 on the black dragon catalog...

There are three different OEM temperature settings you can get (to my best recollection), 170, 180, and 190 (roughly... I think it might be something like 165, 180, 192???) ... but the general consensus on these forums is that since most of us do the brunt of our driving in relatively hot weather (summertime, etc.) the 170 degree thermostat is the best choice.
