Another Z-vendor bites the dust

Not sure if everyone knew this but sadly, VR Engineering is no longer in business. They've ceased to operate since June 20, 2002. I have a feeling that fewer and fewer Z-vendors will remain in business as time goes by, just like the ever so decreasing quantities on NOS parts. So sad... :(

Yes VR is no longer taking orders but they do have there jigs & molds up for bid. They say there dropping it because of needing too focus on there real company in with airospace.

This sounds good but I think Ferrari may have had alittle hand in this aswell. They have shut down every other repro company that has done A Ferrari so...... Plus there cant be A whole ton of money in aftermarket bodies for Z cars anymore.:sleepy:

Hi all,

it's a pity that another vendor stopped Z conversions. I like the VR GTO spyder that I saw on pictures. Did you see the yellow one in www.ebay.com under cars/oldtimer/kitcars ? Nice car, would be nice to have.

Years ago I read an article about another kit car, a Cheetah !!!

The kit producer was located near Phoenix/Az. I wrote a letter to the adress that was mentioned in that article. The letter came back. Does anyone have informations on that car ?

Ivan,

thank you for the good info. Nevertheless it's a pity. I liked that Cheetah. There is not much information on the Cheetahs here in Germany. I think even most car enthusiasts don't even know about Cheetah. How is it in the US ?
