August 7, 200222 yr comment_12287 is that some sort of joke. I mean, what kinda car has nothing on it. I only see one set of tires and no engine. I know what it is. It is a flintsons car and dino goes under the front and you hold the resty and run with it. The first leg powered Z. August 7, 200222 yr comment_12289 It does look like a complete chassis, which is more than some people can say when they start tearing into their cars. That and a parts car to go with it might be just what someone is looking for. One thing about it, if you don't like the way the car looks, you can change it quite easily.:cross-eye Never know, there might be a treasure trove of good useable parts there. If the chassis is clean and fairly free of rust it would make an excellent project car for someone who doesn't already have a Z. It is quite possible someone could make out like a :bandit: with a basic chassis and a ton of parts to play with or re-sell to finance their toy habit. I'd much rather start with a car that looks like this than the one I have for parts in my backyard. My parts car hasn't looked as good as this one in probably ten years. August 7, 200222 yr comment_12292 After looking around (for years) I would jump @ that if I was looking and able ta go and look it over in person. The way that car sits is just how you should look over one for rust (they cant hide it) As the lack of front wheels, No big deal the rack & crossmember is A pain ta get off but putting it back is cake, At least putting it back just to move the shell. All n All I would go and look if I was near there. You could prob. get it for less then what you see on there. I cant see someone putting that much out for A shell without looking it over in person. Thats prob. where he would like it ta start. P.S. There looks ta be atleast 700 + just in seats n belts. August 8, 200222 yr comment_12333 actually the car is pretty complete. The steering and center crossmember are there, his article stated that he removed those items to fix some rot. That car plus a parts car.......I'd pick that thing up in a heartbeart if I was in the area. August 8, 200222 yr comment_12334 Look at the photo of the interior. This seems to be a dream buy for someone who has space and time. It's worth a good painting. Nevertheless I would sell that whale tail and the plastics under the doors , but every taste is different.Rolf Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/2550-yikes-anyone-want-a-project/#findComment-12334 Share on other sites
August 8, 200222 yr comment_12345 doehring....I agree, that whale tail is absolutely horrendous as well as the plastic ground effects. I know that I have to be courteous of everyone elses tastes but a Z should be left alone. I say go butcher a honda or something else that are a dime a dozen. MOre and more Z's are being lost to backyard butcher projects. I saw one ontop of what appeared to be a blazer 4X4 frame. I nearly cried!!!
