Posted September 12, 200717 yr comment_221471 So more than 2 years after I break my heater valve doing donuts, I have secured a replacement from a donor car. I found this car last winter and today I drove 40min and spent 3 hours retreiving my prize. This car was last tagged in 1990 and I wouldn't be suprised if its been sitting out here since then. Luckily all the glass is there and doors were shut, so all things considered the inside wasn't TOO bad. I brought a blanket to lay down on while I worked anyway. So now I just gotta hope and prey its good and not leaky like mine. This same junkyard also houses the 280ZXT I got my wheels off of and will get the engine from at a later date. I'm just happy I've fianlly gotten around to getting this taken care of. Oh ya, only cost me $15 Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/25524-finally-got-my-heater-valve/ Share on other sites
September 13, 200717 yr comment_221473 Looks like the car has many good parts to pull (like the rear window louvre). Odd though, that the car would still have the battery in it after all this time... September 13, 200717 yr Author comment_221478 Yah, those louvers are actually in better shape than mine (minus the paint) so I'm thinking I may go for those sometime. This place is so remote, I doubt anyone has ever gone after these Z's before me. This is GM and Ford country, so all these Datsuns are VERY complete. Its really a lucky find I think. September 13, 200717 yr comment_221483 I've done that same maneuver, so that photo made me laugh. My wife saw me in the garage, all wedged up under the dash, and she said 'I guess fat guys can't own Datsuns, huh?'........
