Posted September 13, 200717 yr comment_221538 Hey all, i have a quick question. I have just installed the replacement heater valve in my 280Z and I just need to know how much pressure the little thing is subject to. I have a pressure tester so I can make sure it doesnt leak, but I don't know how high i should pressureize it to. I searched around and saw something like 25lbs in one thread, but Id like a straight up answer if possible. Thanks to you all. September 13, 200717 yr Author comment_221557 Well dammit. It starts to leak around 10psi. Looks like i'll have another 2+ years to go without a heater. Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/25533-radiator-pressure/#findComment-221557 Share on other sites
September 14, 200717 yr comment_221570 25 psi is too much. 280 Master is correct with 13psi. If it leaks at 10, better think about using another one. Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/25533-radiator-pressure/#findComment-221570 Share on other sites

September 14, 200717 yr comment_221588 Same as mine. I'll check with my buddy who has a Z shop and see where he got the one that's in my car. I'm not promising anything, that was two years ago.
