September 29, 200717 yr comment_223078 That's true you know. Steve shouldn't judge he should just particpate.Burt these childish charades of yours with all the drama are simply wearing out your welcome here. Your misleading statements and antagonizing behavior are not making friends with this group. People that live in glass houses should not throw stones. What part of this is it that do you do not understand? October 3, 200717 yr Author comment_223425 Did anyone click on the links I provided above? Some of the genuine Talbot mirrors (chrome on brass) can run up to $330 !! Wow, that's expensive.BadDog, did you notice these mirrors are difficult to see through the passenger window ? It's almost like the mount arm needs to be extended to get above the window rail. No, I still haven't mounted my PS mirror yet. I did sit in the PS side and adjust the DS mirror to try and get an idea of how useful it'll be and what position the mirror glass will have to be in. Seems to be OK to me, maybe my seats' mounted a little higher than yours? October 3, 200717 yr Author comment_223426 Yes I do like the car Bad Dog. I just think the mirrors don't go with the car but then if you asked me about the wheels I would say the same thing. To each his own. If it was my car and of course it isn't I would turn the tires around so the lettering is on the inside and put the original hubcaps back on. Now I know this isn't the point of your thread that is the wheels but I am a purist at heart. The original mirros are a pain in the neck I must admit and they are hard to use but they look right in my judgement. Now the stripe I like and years ago many 240zs had stripes on them. Black and white do kudos for your choice there my man, makes the car look great. That's cool, even if you don't like my choices 100%. I can understand the purist mentality, and I respect it, just as long as those pursists respect my right to mod my own car. I'm just going for that 70's look, and I love the Raised White Letter tires, my mags, and my stripes. I won't be putting louvers on though :-D Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/25542-msa-bullet-mirror-installed/?&page=5#findComment-223426 Share on other sites

October 3, 200717 yr Author comment_223429 BRE-240Z, FilipeA: Thanks! awsm73z: I don't plan on returning them, especially since I requested they be my gift :-D I think yours look slick Mike: since you started a new pro/con-purist thread, you may as well clear away the unnecessary posts from here. It just clogs up reading this thread as a reference in the future. I've always thought this site was relatively flame-free, I guess I haven't been around as much as I used to. I've never understood why the "anonymity" of the internet seems to lull people into a sense that they can say and do things they wouldn't otherwise say or do in a polite conversation in person. Especially in a community like this, where chances are you're going to meet some of these other Z enthusiasts in person at a show, or recognize their car. But I digress :-) Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/25542-msa-bullet-mirror-installed/?&page=5#findComment-223429 Share on other sites

He already cleaned up this thread once while creating the other thread. For the most part this site is relatively flame-free. Fortunately the disruptive members are in the minority and people here would do well to ignore them even though that's often difficult.
