Posted September 17, 200717 yr comment_221992 Is it normal for my wipers to make an extra stroke after I turn the switch to off? It makes a slow, loud, chattering(the motor, not the blade) stroke after I turn off my wipers or on its last stroke when using the windshield spray. The wipers work and sound fine otherwise. September 17, 200717 yr comment_221994 Perfectly normal on almost any 240Z. Worry when it does'nt do it.There is a spring on the pivot arm and it makes noise when you flip the switch to off. The motor goes in reverse and the springs "Clicks" Kinda like a safety clutch.Dave. September 18, 200717 yr Author comment_222018 Thanks for the relieving heads up. Of course I wish there was a way to remedy this. I (like a good boy) performed a search on this before I asked and when I got no results, I became a bit worried.
