I wouldn't.

It appears to be sound deadener (but what is under that?)

Also,

INTERIOR

The original interior panels were red, have been repainted in black by previous owner, a well done job.

The red interior is lovely! Why change it?

The car obviously wasn't really restored, or even really properly refreshed. The owner got it running, cleaned up the interior (he probably dyed the panels black since that was easier and cheaper than matching the red), fixed some suspension and brake issues, and considered that a 'restoration' of the car.

I think in this case, "restored" referers to putting it back in storage (re-storing)!!LOL Looks to be a $2200.00 seller to me! Lot-O-Rust for sure and likely everything else is worn out as well....just my gut feeling.

Tom

The car is in Kentucky, and if it was driven in the winter that could account for the rust. I suspect that a lot of "restorations" depend heavily upon Bondo for body repair, and at the first sign of winter road salt, that stuff surrenders immediately.

I wouldn't pay what he is asking. If someone does, they are going to be in for some nasty surprises.
