Red pigments used for the paint were derived from IRON, and will over time fade (oxide) worse in the sun areas but also where covered with carpet, plastic panels, etc, it is still exposed to oxygen and other "things" in the air. The salt air on the trip over, new car smell chemicals, cigarette smoke, exhaust fumes....the list goes on. All will all fade at a different rate and reds oxidize at a faster rate than other colors.

I would verify like 1 Bravo 6 said, then go with it and LOVE it.
