Movie of the year

My favorite movie is definately CARS.

The animation is so realistic at times it's easy to believe that the animation has been superimposed on "real" footage.

My one and only gripe is that there isn't a Zed in there anywhere, and while it's easy to recognise a lot of the cars, I'm at a loss as to what marque "Lightning McQueen" is. Anybody hazard a guess??

Having a car mad three year old grandson and a six year old grandaughter gives me a good excuse to watch the movie. I've probably seen it at least ten times so far during the week the kids have been here. I'll have to think of some good excuses to watch it after they go back home in a couple of days time.

Rick.

I really liked CARS ... watched it on a plane over the Atlantic last year, made the trip go by much faster.

My favorite movie this year was Super Bad ... I saw it last month in the US while on a trip there. Was one of the funniest movie, if not funniest, I have ever seen. See it in theaters with a packed house, the laugher is non stop. It doesn't come out till the very end of October here in Belgium. I am going to go and see it again that night to with my wife.

I'm with you Gregg - for comedy "Super Bad" is the film of the year so far.

Only thing was, I didn't realize how raunchy it would be and I took my son and his freinds. I had a few moments of uncertainty, but the laugh factor was too compelling to leave.

My favorite character was definately Mclovin.

The raunchy factor was way up there (the drawing obsession monologue!)... in fact I read it has the most curse words of any movie (or at least curse words per minute) ... but I didn't find it nearly as offensive as South Park: The Movie or other movies that use curse words a lot. Mainly because the language is what it would be among friends and wasn't thrown in there for "shock" value, it was just part of what make the characters what they were.

Super Bad is in a special category of films which are character driven and for me these are always the most rewarding to see.
