I have a thought and wanted to throw it out there ...

Has anyone thought of a club calendar to help raise some cash for the website? I would certainly love a calendar and there are plenty of print on demand websites that do them out there. We could raise some extra cash and have some beautiful cars to look at each year.

So some questions I have?

1) Is this something we as a club can put together?

2) Any suggestions on print on demand websites to use (Kodak Gallery, etc...)?

3) I think we should have a vote for the top 13 cars (12 months and cover) with the winner on the cover and the 12 chosen at random for months (or maybe color matched to the time of year :paranoid:). Any different ideas?

4) Any other ideas? Suggestions?

It's absolutely possible. The Dime Quarterly's website (http://www.dimequarterly.tierranet.com/) uses Cafe Press for their merchandise, including calendars, cups, hats, shirts.....

I think Mike used Cafepress before ... their quality leaves a bit to be desired which IRCC is why he stopped using them in the club store. I haven't seen any of their calendars, but I have seen the T-shirts which fade quite quickly.

I have a place that I use for photo books for wedding that I photograph and calendars. It's called Shared Ink and I have a pro photographers account with them.

I could also layout the picture pages for the calendars. I would have to check on the pricing for quantity. You would want to do this soon because they will take about a week to design and 2 to 3 weeks to print.

Also by the way I am a professional photographer.

I did it last year and gave them to my Z friends for Christmas. I used the pictures I took of my friends Zs and mine as well . Some were from cruses and some from shows. The Photo service at Costco did the printing and they came out great. $9.99 ea. I did the whole thing on line and they shipped them to my house. Being they were our personal cars used in the calendar it makes it special. Gary

I had two of my shots from the Runoffs in the DQ calender last year. I might have some Z race shots from this season that would work.
