Update On Accident

Hi guys and gal. Not sure if anyone recalls, but a few months ago I was rear ended. Well, after months and months of urging the other party to cooperate, I finally got my claim settled, and I'll have a replacement bumper very soon!

To make a long story short, I had to be very persistent in hounding these people to fix my car. My own insurance wouldn't cover it (Amendments to my own coverage soon to follow). After threatening to sue the other party in red ink, they finally complied with the investigation.

I recieved a check for the damages rather than taking it to their shop. That way I can by a used bumper from Sunrise Z, install it myself, and keep the rest of the money. I've done the installation before on these bumpers.

Anyway, I'm very happy. And not to mention that there is ONE good thing about those 280 crash bumpers. It saved my whole rear end.

Glad to hear it worked out for you. I'm sure the bumpers on my 240z will save my rear end in a crash (insert sarcasm emoticon).

Its too bad it took months, but at least it worked out in the end.

Thanks! They tried to pull a fast one until I threatened to sue with a deadline. I tell ya, it's hardball or nothing.

Believe me, I LOVE the 240 bumpers but.......

My 280z bumper was what saved me when I got rear ended. That poor G6, though... Anyway, I am very happy to hear all is well. I would have whipped some one's arse for you if I had to.

Hehe...Thanks! It almost came to that right before they decided to comply.

The only thing that I will be losing is the rear bumper overrrider. The used bumper I'm installing is the regular type. However, my car was not originally equipped with the overrider bar anyway. I added in the bar after I bought her years ago. So, in essence she'll go back to her very original looking bumpers.

This will be the 3rd rear bumper on that car. Too bad I didn't keep the first one.
