efhjr Posted October 11, 2007 Share #1 Posted October 11, 2007 Didn't the Black Pearl 280Zs have dual side-view mirrors?I recently cracked my stock side-view mirror. Argh! Naturally, the car does not have a passenger-side mirror. I would like to get two new stock side-view mirrors for my car -- and I assume the Black Pearl mirrors are the only way to go.Is this a pipe dream? sblake01 Posted October 11, 2007 Share #2 Posted October 11, 2007 The actual metal ones from Nissan (99990-00113) would be a pipe dream. But, if by chance you find 2 sets, let me know:)

I'm curious, I don't think I've ever heard of those.BTW, how hard is it getting to find stock 280Z mirrors?

I'm curious, I don't think I've ever heard of those.BTW, how hard is it getting to find stock 280Z mirrors?280z's only had the one mirror, on the drivers side. You can still find those. The metal ones were part of the SAP on the 77 Zzzap and 78 Black Pearl. They were actually available from Nissan at one time.

240Adam Posted October 12, 2007 Share #8 Posted October 12, 2007 My 75 280 has both mirrors and from what I can tell they are the same as a black pearl only not the metal ones. I am going to change them so if some one wants them let me know. I will get some pics tomorrow.
mgood Posted October 12, 2007 Share #9 Posted October 12, 2007 Here are the ones I have on mine, they came with the car in 1976, dealer installed, I painted them the match the car. I had to replace them 20 years ago because the mirror lost its shine. I found some used ones 5 years ago in Arizona on the internet. Then they were hard to find 5 years ago, don't know about now. I liked the look then and even better now.
Sailor Bob Posted October 12, 2007 Share #10 Posted October 12, 2007 Thats the same ones I have - originally black. I like them but mine loosen with vibration and have to be torqued from time to time. I suspect there is no backing plate.
