October 11, 200717 yr comment_224220 If these are stripped because you didn't cut the peened area of the nut off before removing it, then you can probably get away with just cleaning up what is left with a thread file and putting a new nut on. The peened area will necessarily be AFTER the threads that actually secure the nut, so the harm done is more cosmetic than anything. Be prepared to spend a couple hours with your new best friend Mr. Thread File though... October 11, 200717 yr comment_224227 Both sides are the same, so you don't need a "driver's side" specifically. You'll need one from a 280Z, the spline count on the 240Z are different.Last I checked, new ones were still available from Nissan, but they aren't cheap... I'm still very much the novice but am learning so if I'm wrong, go easy! October 22, 200717 yr comment_225725 No, the stub axle is the flanged part that the rear wheel bearings support in the hubs. They are both sides the same. October 23, 200717 yr comment_225850 find one in a junkyard as stated either side is good. or machine shop build it up with weld metal and remachine the thread but probably pricey.
