This is the power relay from my '72 Datsun 240Z found on the passenger side kick panel. It somehow burnt out and caused several wires to burn out or those wires grounded out and then burnt out this relay. Either way, it's bad and I need another one. I can't find it anywhere! I'd prefer a new one, but if anyone has a used one that's good, it'd be happy to purchase it from you. Please let me know where I can get one... soon!!!

Thanks Kurtwwalters! I'll check this page tomorrow to see what you came up with.

Thanks EScanlon, that brings up an important question. My mechanic told me it's a power relay. I think he said it controls power going to one side of the fuse box (he said passenger side). Either that or the wires that feed power to that side of the fuse box is what burnt out. Anyway, my mechanic gave me the part number and motorsport auto told me that that part number is the defroster relay. So, if it were the defroster relay, does it conrtol anything else that's important? Is this something that's vital to running the car??

Did you get the part from sblake01? I found a '72 in a junkyard that the vultures hadn't feasted on. Of course I "lovingly dismantled" her. Anyway, I saw but didn't take the part you're looking for. I can try to make it out there if you need it or want a spare. It's yours for whatever it costs me at the junkyard plus postage.

Cheers,

Roy
