Posted October 13, 200717 yr comment_224389 One of my datsun's previous owners painted the wheels silver which looked ok for a while. While doing a toyota brake upgrade I noticed some chrome under the paint. Decided to soak the rims with aeresol paint remover and there were beautiful, new chrome rims underneath. I'm not huge on chrome rims but I'm liking the look on the z. Just like to share my excitement with you guys. October 13, 200717 yr comment_224464 Wow, what a bonus. If your taking comments from the peanut gallery, I vote for removing the door ding guard strip down the sides and go back to a chrome front bumper! October 15, 200717 yr Author comment_224641 Wow, what a bonus. If your taking comments from the peanut gallery, I vote for removing the door ding guard strip down the sides and go back to a chrome front bumper!I'm open to gallery comments... The front bumper is fiberglass and I kinda like the black (except that it doesnt match the rear) I dont like the look of the door guards at all but I'm afraid there are attachment holes in the doors. Are these double sided taped on or the old 'poke a hole in 'em' style from the factory. Thanks for all the compliments guys. October 15, 200717 yr comment_224684 I think those loooook Sic ! Has the old Mopar Dodge Demon, Cuda look I would leave the center caps off like Dodge did and maybe get a center ball for the rear rims to match the fronts. That way you would have a simple and clean matching look on all 4 rims. If you need an idea where to get ball caps pick up a copy of Mopar Monthly and see their advertisments for a company or 2 that sells vintage Repro rims for muscle cars, I'm pretty sure they could hook you up with what you would need Not that it's a bad Idea but every one does have Z center caps (including me :cheeky: ) ~Z~ Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/25845-new-wheels/#findComment-224684 Share on other sites
