October 14, 200717 yr comment_224470 I doubt the number means much on a '74, but I could be mistaken. It's obviously one of the first '74s built, but again, it's not like it's a 1969 240. I say build it the way you want to drive it. Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/25850-74-260z-rls30-000023/#findComment-224470 Share on other sites

May 21, 200816 yr comment_248197 This hijacking doesnt even make sense. I'd almost prefer to see an ad for grey market cellphones or electronics. Blueturbo talking about his restoration then BAM - An essay on China. WTF? May 21, 200816 yr comment_248256 Unfortunately there is nothing special about an early 260 (except for the fact that all S30's are special). I'm kind of glad for that since I can't leave anything stock and my Z is far from it. August 17, 200816 yr comment_256898 A "sympathetic" resto would be nice...I have RS30 vin#000037 maybe built on the same day? Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/25850-74-260z-rls30-000023/#findComment-256898 Share on other sites
August 17, 200816 yr comment_256903 All other things being held even - an interesting VIN will sell first, and perhaps for a bit more money.FYI - RLS30 00020 was the OMS Pace Car that Bobby Unser won... its still in the Unser Garage..FWIW,Carl B. August 17, 200816 yr comment_256904 You might consider something in between a performance build and stock. Let's call it a period correct restoration. During the production years, many factory and aftermarket parts were available to personalize and improve the handling and performance of any 240Z to 280Z. A quality period correct restoration may give your friend the best of both approaches and a higher value car.Good luck with the project.Fixitman Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/25850-74-260z-rls30-000023/#findComment-256904 Share on other sites
