Dohc,

I would think most Zed enthusiasts would agree that there is no such thing as a V8 Zed. But then again there is no such thing as a Turbo 240 or definetly GTR engine 240. What are we saying then, that maybe you just love the shape of the Zed and respect that but you love the note of a V8. I can understand exactly what u are saying, you want the best of both worlds. I'm finding I can't get anyone to agree on what colour I should paint my Zed alone, so I'm going to have to please one person then, ME enjoy it drive it and hope you get some support along the way. GO ZED.................

Just curious,

I'm at the point where I'm looking at spending some reasonable dollars on a good 240... have any of you invested over $10,000 US or $20,000 australian?

I've got about $10,000 into mine and it's still a shell. Paint job was about $6,500 and many other things like powder-coating, sandblasting, struts, shocks, new parts everywhere, and just too damn much to list.

Doco,

mine has cost me all of the proceeds from selling my '82 911 SC Porsche and lots, lots more on top of that, AND its not even finished yet (close, very close)!!!

Some say that I could of bought this car and that car etc. but at the end of the day, it really depends on what you want.

My RB26DETT 240Z will be very rewarding to drive and own (once its on the road) Plus I can really say that I've built it, not just handed over the cash and bought something which anyone with money can do, its about being unique and individual.

Check out pics of my car under the photo gallery and good luck with your search!

Hey Cuong,

Mate, that is one serious car you're building there, surely not too many porsches will be able to keep up with your Zed anyway...

Have you seen my post further down the page "Sweetest 240 ever"? if there is a single Zed that makes me want one, this is it...

Wish I knew more about that particular car.

Hi Doco and all,

that red Zed is VERY nice. There is a huge difference between a car that has been done up here and there, and a car that has gone through a thorough rebuild.

Maximum respect for those that take the effort and time to see a project car get built PROPERLY. There is nothing more annoying than seeing a half effort build.
