tah Posted October 16, 2007 Share #1 Posted October 16, 2007 Anyone done this?I removed the trim piece near the windshield (5 phillips screws), the 6 10mm bolts at the front of the dash, the 2 10mm bolts into the console area. Both vent handle mounts and the steering column bolts. Don't think these really matter, just did them in case.Seems like somethings still holding the dash in, any ideas? Thanks in advance............ tah Posted October 16, 2007 Author Share #3 Posted October 16, 2007 speedo cable?Nope, done that. Whatever is holding it is more substantial than cables or wires. Someone tells me there's two bolts at the bottom corners I'm missing.I'll look for those this evening, got to go do some work.............. Zulaytr Posted October 16, 2007 Share #5 Posted October 16, 2007 Did you check the ones that hold the lower center dash by the radio? I think you already noted the ones on the lower sides of the dash. Be sure to disconnect the heater/defroster cables if you haven't done so. You will also have the main wiring harness connectors behind the glove box on the extreme right side of the dash. That is usually a tight fit to disconnect them. If you haven't done so it is also a good idea to mark all the wires for easier connection when you go back in. Good Luck.

Arne Posted October 17, 2007 Share #8 Posted October 17, 2007 Using the forum's built-in search function is Faster than posting your question in a new thread, as you get to read the old replies immediately and don't have to wait for new answers. So being in a hurry is no excuse...

tah Posted October 17, 2007 Author Share #10 Posted October 17, 2007 So being in a hurry is no excuse... Hey lighten up people............ As my grandmother used to say "If you don't have anything nice to say, then don't say anything". I appreciate the help I receive here, but if your only reason for posting is to criticize, why take the time? I'll never understand your motives and doubt many others will either. No, searching and looking is not quicker! Not when you only have a minute to ask, logoff, and get out the door to work. But thanks for understanding my schedule better than I do
Mike B Posted October 17, 2007 Share #11 Posted October 17, 2007 Whether you admit it or not, Arne is right. You should also follow your grandmother's advice.
