Bonzi Lon Posted October 17, 2007 Share #13 Posted October 17, 2007 A week ago I caught the last of the show where he reads a letter from a "Car Crazy" person. I really took notice when 240Z was mentioned. Very long and good story about the Z, but what happened after amaized me. Barry went into an editorial about the collectibility of "Import Cars" today (if a good rust free one could be found) and the time has come because the 240Z started it. Several minutes were spent on the subject. He said they had just done an "Entire Episode" on imports at a recent import show. This may be the show he was refering to. Looking forward to it.Bonzi Lon
Sailor Bob Posted October 17, 2007 Share #14 Posted October 17, 2007 Hey Stephen - That is the coolest Mazda ever - it looks a little late fifties Tbird/vette. Is that another one in the background by the guy in the blue T shirt? Got to look that one up.
sblake01 Posted October 17, 2007 Share #15 Posted October 17, 2007 I just realized after looking through my pictures that the one in the background is Leno's. The one I pictured is the one that Mazda brought to the show.
ggarrard Posted October 17, 2007 Share #16 Posted October 17, 2007 Congratulations Ron...nice to hear Car Crazy is expanding their horizons...(wish I still got SPeed TV, but our local Cable company moved it to HD and wants another $50/month). Classic Motorsports (sister mag to GrassRoots Motorsposts) did an article on Leno's Cosmo Sport back in September 2006...neat car.Gordon Garrard
Sailor Bob Posted October 17, 2007 Share #17 Posted October 17, 2007 I'm guessing the Wine coloured on is the Eunos Cosmo.

Montezuma Posted October 17, 2007 Share #19 Posted October 17, 2007 I'm guessing the Wine coloured on is the Eunos Cosmo.Yeah it was....and it was real sweet. I had a friend in Japan who had two of those Eunos Cosmos, one was all tricked out and one was just like the one in the background of Stephen's picture. Looking at it brought back great memories. To Ron: Congrats on another honor for your fine Z. How was your weekend at the festival of speed in NAS North Island? I was there with the Z club early Sunday morning but had to get going by noon so I missed the finals. I saw the Z displayed there, it looked great as always. Ron Carter Posted October 17, 2007 Author Share #21 Posted October 17, 2007 Thanks guys! can't wait to see the episode. I hope I don't look like a total fool I was not interviewed by Barry...and it will not be a full episode on my car and me. Just a segement of the show. Barry freeks me out too...but, he does love cars and is a true enthusiast. He has done quite a bit for the automotive industry, and weird or not, that is a good thing for us. PS Barry Meguiar was overheard the following day at the Coronado races talking about the JCCS show. He was amazed at all the cars and the turnout... Tomohawk, you can come out from Cleveland and lick my BRE 240Z any time you want. I think you will find that it looks sweet, but it doesn't taste sweet....
