October 18, 200717 yr comment_225216 I recommended it to Mohamed (BuDavid). He is looking for new Z for himself there in Bahrain. He could get this one, pay to have a few up grades to it, then ship it off to Bahrain. It might be right in his budget. October 18, 200717 yr comment_225219 Not only am I old enough to remember seeing these cars, I'm old enough to have bough a 260 from Bob in '74 and had him do the "GT-race this weekend" package before I took it home.I would see the GT-33 versions being prepped when I would drop off or pick up by Z for servicing in 75 and 76. Of course Bob would also sell you a nearly complete Z in FG or you could buy the molds to make your own.I remember that poster at Road Atlanta too. October 18, 200717 yr comment_225222 I've checked it, the priced jumped to 2000$I've seen a GT-33 here in Bahrain but not anymore, an older guy had it, but no one recognised what was it all about, it was under evaluated..I have no idea where is it rith now.the car look pretty original, if so, I guess that car can worth something higher that usual with those modifications that it has. October 18, 200717 yr comment_225250 Hi Mike:I knew of the Bob Sharp GT-33s but really never found too much specific information about them. I had seen this one advertised for sale back in 2001.Very hard to place a value on the car. On the one hand it would be an interesting piece of "Bob Sharp" or "Bob Sharp Dealership" history, and most certainly a fun car to take to auto shows. Lots to talk about and show... Something that you won't see several of at any show....On the other hand, to put it back in really "show" condition would take a bit of work and money even at this point. After which it might be hard to find a buyer willing to pay much of a premium price for a Dealer Special...If it was just a clean, rust free 280Z, with 78K miles - in the Northeast - it should sell for $6,500.00 to $7,500.00 today. How much more it's unique history is worth, will be up to the buyer and seller I would guess.FWIW,Carl B.
