Posted October 21, 200717 yr comment_225570 My car hals been leaking some kind of fluid on the inside of my car for a while now, and I thought it was power steering fluid, and I thought I had fixed it with some stop-leak fluid. But it is still leaking. And I just caught it dripping, and its bright green. Its leaking under the dash on the passengers side. How can I fix this? October 21, 200717 yr comment_225571 did it smell like antifreeze? i am guessing the heater core or hoses that are attached to it. good luck with the fix. i will be dealing with that myself pretty soon. October 21, 200717 yr comment_225576 Leaking green on the passenger front floor is a leak coming from something in the heater core area (that green is antifreeze), more than likely one of the hoses where it attaches to the hot/cold temp valve, or the valve itself. I would recommend refurbishing everything in this area if/when the repair is made, such as replacing both hoses, valve, and getting the heater core checked out for leaks, etc. Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/25954-leaking-trans-fluid/#findComment-225576 Share on other sites
October 21, 200717 yr comment_225579 what would a transmission fluid do under the dash??are you sure that it is transission fluid?perhaps it is just an antifreeze as Dogma said.I've not experienced oil lines under the dash area..when the car is cold, open the radiator cap and compare the color of the fluid inside with the dripping fluid's color.. or at least you'll notice a lower level in the first place. October 21, 200717 yr comment_225580 Mohamed--It's NOT transmission fluid. This fluid that has been found is from the cooling system, the green caused by anti-freeze.
