I just got out-bid on EBay on a set of "original 70-71 240z" floor mats. They are tweed, with the word DATSUN on the drivers' side mat. I have seen the rubber ones with 240Z and just DATSUN on them, but never these. Were these original early mats? Pics attached. Maybe 26th knows... thank you in advance

Early period aftermarket, not "original" in the true sense of the word. Coco mats were common in the aftermarket in the early 70s.

I have a new set I purchased in the 70's they are still in the box. Arne is correct they were common aftermarket in the 70's. I can't wait to put them in my car when it is finished.
