November 10, 201212 yr comment_406556 At first I wondered why a 10 year old thread would be revived, but those pictures are choice material!!!One thing I note, the block is missing the Coolant Drain Valve (Left side towards the back, just a plug of some sort), and even though it may seem inadequate, it is convenient when you need it. FWIW E Yes, I wasn't sure what thread to post this on as this is a Z site. But it is somewhat relevant as these are the Z predecessors, and there are not many active roadster sites. I was going to post this on the 'What did you do on your S30 today?', but that would not be correct. Not many threads here for the SPL or SRL311, so I thought I would resurrect this one. I will have to research that block valve...not familiar with it. I had a 67 1600 roadster when I was much younger also, but sold it when my first child arrived. Now that the kids are (kind of) out of the house, I picked up a roadster to restore and am about 1/3 of the way done, I think. Hopefully I can have it going about a year from now. Below is a before pic. Also attached is a pic of what I would like final to look like, only in 1600 form. November 10, 201212 yr comment_406557 The valve almost looks like a Barrel Bung valve. I'll look later and see if I have a pic of one.White is a good color, although I prefered a bit more vibrant color for mine when I painted it.Here's my gallery with pictures of the 67:http://www.classiczcars.com/photopost/showgallery.php?cat=3517Feel free to ask me anything you want to know about them.E Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/2598-anyone-have-a-roadster-as-well-as-a-z/?&page=2#findComment-406557 Share on other sites
November 13, 201212 yr comment_406776 I got a 67 1600 low windshield in the garage that I just happen to have been working on last night. We have a complete and ready stroker motor ready to intall along with using a Z 5sp. Once the motor is in it will go up to Classic Datsun for a brand new red interior. Looking forward to going meeting up with Rich when his is done and taking them out for a run. November 15, 201212 yr comment_406904 motorman7: Your resto photos are giving me inspiration to get my 68 Roadster out of the dusty spider infested back room of the garage and on the road again. That parts stash would be fun to rummage around in too.Bonzi Lon Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/2598-anyone-have-a-roadster-as-well-as-a-z/?&page=2#findComment-406904 Share on other sites

HHmmmm...looks like some stuff I could use there. I think my exhaust manifold has a crack and I see a nice one in the picture. You will have to clue me in on how to access some of these parts :-) Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/2598-anyone-have-a-roadster-as-well-as-a-z/?&page=2#findComment-406923 Share on other sites
