Posted October 24, 200717 yr comment_225972 I am replacing the exterior window squegees (chrome piece with rubber attached) on my 1978 280Z 2+2. Can anyone tell me how this process is accomplished (removal and installation). I am also planning to replace the interior window "felt" pieces. I am assuming that the door panels will have to be removed for this process and some type of adhesive applied. All replacement parts have been acquired new from Motorsports. Any guidance would be appreciated. Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/25992-280z-window-squegee/ Share on other sites
October 24, 200717 yr comment_225986 At the rearmost part, gently insert a wedge/prybar and lift the chrome piece up. Do it a bit at a time as you work your way forward and at one point or another it will come free. Works better with the window down.Interior felt gets stapled to the top of the door panel.E Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/25992-280z-window-squegee/#findComment-225986 Share on other sites
November 2, 200717 yr Author comment_227041 Thanks, EScanlon...just needed to know if there was anything major to consider. It was a lot easier than anticipated and looks great.
