Posted October 25, 200717 yr comment_226095 Is there a limit on the size of pictures people have in there signatures? Sometimes half the page content is just signatures. Or is there a setting somewhere so I don't have to see them? Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/26003-signatures-and-pictures/ Share on other sites
October 25, 200717 yr comment_226108 There is a way for you to disable signatures and avatars.Go to User CP, then select Edit Options.Scroll down to the third box (about halfway down) and you will see the Thread Display Option box. Most likely you have all three of the options check marked. Just de-select them, and you shouldn't see anyone's signature or avatar. October 25, 200717 yr comment_226119 I use FireFox and AdBlockPlus to help out in situations like this. You can simply block specific images that you don't want to see or use a wildcard expression to block groups of pictures. While this can effectively limit large pictures in signatures it's also a way of blocking something else that bothers me. Some people have a tendency to post many large photos in a thread not in their gallery or as attachments or links that I can click on to go see the image but rather as direct image links to their own image site. That site might be slow and take a long time to load each shot. Then, every time someone posts a new comment to the thread you're forced to download them all again just to get to the bottom to read the comment. With AdBlockPlus after you've looked at them the first time you can block them from being shown subsequently.
