Went to the local car parts (Schuck's) and ordered from them.Weatherstripping? DatsunDude, Too Intense Restoration, MSA, Victoria British (with care), e-Bay.So hopefully one of the above answers you, otherwise, please explain what Weathershields are.E Scanlon
Dazza Posted August 12, 2002 Share #3 Posted August 12, 2002 Obviously we have an automotive terminology change here To us Aussies, a weathershield is a clear perspex device that is fitted to a driver or passenger side window, that deflects the air from coming in through the open window whilst driving. Are these still available for a 240Z ? Cheers Darryl :beard:
1 Bravo 6 Posted August 13, 2002 Author Share #4 Posted August 13, 2002 Thanks for the explaination Dazza, couldn't have put it better myself. I'll be interested to see what our septic tank brothers call them. 1974 Bronze 260 Z Sports Coupe
1 Bravo 6 Posted August 13, 2002 Author Share #5 Posted August 13, 2002 Hey there Dazza, Glad to see you are keeping your 240 original. I'm doing the best I can with my 260. So far so good. 1974 Bronze 260 Z Sports Coupe.
Dazza Posted August 13, 2002 Share #6 Posted August 13, 2002 Hi there 1 Bravo 6, Great to hear that you have chosen the path of originality as well. It is indeed tempting to modify, with all sorts of top stuff available. However, with the passing of time, cars in or near original condition will become more valued as they become scarcer. The ideal solution would be to have 2 Zed's; one to keep stock standard and the other to modify to one's own personal taste. Hmmm...... 1 Bravo 6 Posted August 13, 2002 Author Share #7 Posted August 13, 2002 AAAHHHHHHH, yes Dazza. What a dream that is. To have two Z's. Only two things stop me from having more than one; lack of money and "She Who Must Be Obeyed". Still, a man must have his dreams. I agree about keeping the Z original. How far can you go with mods and still call the car a Z ????????? Put a 280 engine into a 240 should it still be regarded as a 240??. You get my drift?? 1974 Bronze 260 Z Sports Coupe. 1 Bravo 6 Posted August 15, 2002 Author Share #11 Posted August 15, 2002 Hey there DAZZA, Maybe we should get together and compile a Australian / American dictionary. Looks like we need to edify these septic tanks. All I want to do is stop the breeze from mucking up my hair. (what little there is left of it), when the windows are down. Rick.
