Radiator Surge tank for 240Z

I see them on eBay from time to time...same thing for the bracket that holds the overflow tank. Blast the bracket with your blasting media of choice and have it painted or powder coated and it should last you for quite some time...might be able to find one in a pick-and-pull in your area...found a picture showing the items required if you want to try and locate them piece by piece...

That is off a 77-8 280Z, I used one on my 240Z and it was a perfect fit. I see the brackets all the time but the tank is always gone. I do have a extra bracket I will never use if you find a tank and need the bracket.

Brad,

I just saw a overflow bottle on eBay. Item #220163984160 The auction runs out on November 3rd, so you have plenty of time to look around/think about it...just plug in that number in the search block and it should take you right to it...hope ya get it...

I bought one from Advance Auto that just barely fits in the space at the left front of the engine bay:

I am not sure how similar it is to the part that Motorsport sells, but it looks about the same.

I am not sure that it is really needed. My radiator stays full, and there isn't much fluid in that tank.

I've got a spare surge tank from a ZX that you would be welcome to have for shipping. You would need to find or fabricate a mounting bracket like in post #3. Also, if you wished, you could rig up a low level indicator light since the tank I have has the float and wiring for such a thing.
