Black Pearl on CLblack pearl 280z - $8000 (danville / san ramon)Reply to: sale-462182224@craigslist.orgDate: 2007-10-28, 12:10PM PDTthis is my 1978 black pearl 280z,there was only 850-1500 of these made,they say there is estimated only 300 in exsitence, this car has been in the same family all these years, the wheels are very rare, only time they were made in the us is when they put them on the black pearls,the good:very rare car, has no leaks at all,the car has 130,000 miles on it but the engine is only at 33,000 miles, the head gasket blew on the old one,has a new radiator hoses and thermostat, put in a cold air intake,new brake calipers and pads,new tires,spark plugs,battery,valve gasket,new struts,new left head light,new water pump,just changed oil and filter,ne magnaflow exhaust,have a front air dam not installed yet,window tint, has dealer installed sunroof,stll has the original side stripe only on black pearls,inside:all new carpet, new seat covers, new leather shift boot, knob and arm rest, 200$ steering wheel,z floor mats,has ac and works,new kick plates,stero installe with custom 6x9 speaker box and 4 inch polk audio speakers cost 500$,and there is probaly more i missed, THE small things:drivers side door will only unlock from inside,needs alignment,sunroof leaks,tranny fluids need to be changed and thats it hard to belive i know, the car has straight body never in an accident, and has no rust at all, this car is a collecters item,very few exist make me an offer, all it needs is a new paint jobblack pearl 280z.pdf Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/26050-black-pearl-on-cl/ Share on other sites More sharing options...
October 29, 200717 yr comment_226554 the wheels are very rare, only time they were made in the us is when they put them on the black pearls,..........Not so, look at my signature pic, optional 260-280 alloys.stll has the original side stripe only on black pearls,.....He must mean the side molding, dealer installed option on any car.Too many "upgrades" on this car for the 'Black Pearl' thing to mean anything especially if it needs paint. And where's the passenger mirror, the hood ornament? I don't think a 'collecter' as he puts it, wouldn't be interested in this car. I'm not interested in it myself, preferring the earlier 240's... but thought that perhaps a member of the forum might be.
