Since this is split into two threads, I'll just summarize my reply from the other thread:

You guys have it ALL wrong!

I HOPE, I PRAY, I WISH this guy will get the $20k he's asking.

Heck, if he were to get it FAST it would be beneficial to us all.

Except for us poor bastards who only have the hopes to get one Z in our lives let alone being able to afford any parts for them. I keep hoping to really sink some dough into my Z after the kids are grown, but if everybody wants to pay more than what these cars are worth just to drive up the value, hell I've got a worn out 76 280 that looks great at ten feet for ten grand. Any takers? I didn't think so. Dan

I am on the other side of the fence for the time being. I didn't get involed in the Z world as an investment - I like the fact that it is a great little fun car accessable to pretty well anyone who wants one.

This is still the poor man's Vette - I'ld like to have another one (or two).

So, as to wishing the price through the roof - not me. I like it the way it is.

Just saw a '74 260Z on eBay up for US $46,500.00; it is really clean.

Says it's 19,000 miles. It is really pretty!

The whole mileage thing baffles me on the Z cars, especially in our case, which is a '71 240Z and the odometer doesn't have enough places to show the actual miles after it reaches 99.999 so curious how you can trust people's odometer claims. In our case, it shows current miles at 90,351, and many of our Z Doctor receipts and others started showing these miles as well a few years back, but my brother knows it went over the mark and is actually 190,351.

Just curious.
