mars23z Posted November 1, 2007 Author Share #25 Posted November 1, 2007 I love seeing 260z's selling like that. To the people out there that dont know any better its a Z car not the bastard child of Datsun that I here some of the 240 and 280 owners call it. I personaly would rather have my early 260z then a 280z. Not that there is anything wrong with the 280 I just like the look a little better thats all. Now to someone who just wants a Z then they dont care about fat bumpers or crappy carbs. On the other hand the people that are spending that kind of money on a Z you would think know what they are looking at. It will interesting to see what happens. I like all the Z cars they are a great part of the auto history. I ll admit if when I bought mine it was a 280z I would have still bought it because I didnt know there was a difference in the bumpers or carbs etc I just knew I loved Z cars. Now that I know the differences if I buy another I would first seek out a 240 or another early 260 but would be happy to find a nice 280.

However crude they may appear, they saved my Z's rear from being mangled a few months back. But, a 280 is faster and fuel injected. Love the 260's, but I'll stick with my 280.
