choke switch

Hello everyone,

I was wondering if anyone knows where I can find a choke switch. I was putting my console back together last night, and one of the wires broke off. Since the two tabs used to secure the switch to assembly are already broken off, I thought I'd try to find a better condition one. The wires are hard and brittle anyway. Also theres not much room to make new solder connections on the tiny switch.

I bought a Choke Cable off eBay a while ago and the switch came with it. Works great - however before I got this, I went to RadioShack and got a $1.50 switch that was a NO (Normally Open) Momentary Micro Switch. They are very small (around 1/4" in dia.) and the head will fit through the metal hole such that it will be able to contact the Choke Arm when closed. It worked great after I fab'd up a bracket to hold the switch in place. I kept it as a backup if my 35 year-old switch fails. If you go to RadioShack with your original switch - you may be able to get something to work. Maybe even a micro switch that can attach it to the plastic housing so it mounts cleanly to the choke frame. Good luck - hope this helps. Mark
