Member Greg Ira & Guy Marvin won both ECR races at VIR this weekend in Marvin's #33 240Z. They finished 5th overall & 1st in ITS in the first race & 1st overall & 1st in ITS in the second race. Here are a few pics I took. Greg also finished 3rd in a Datsun Roadster in the Prod Fest race.

Wonder new- I love that our beloved cars can still deliver a serious whump to the Porsche groups LOL

A little off topic here, but I find it a disconcerting thing that the Datsun roadster seems so much larger than the Catheram Super Seven... I mean, I know the the Seven is small, but...

Still, great news, and great photos!

Too busy fuming over (a) how I keep missing these events and (B) how my insurance agent keeps me from trying racing--gotta protect the kids and wife, you know....

Your photography continues to improve, Mark. Seems better now mainly from the variety of camera angles provided. Is that just me, or are you doing more location scouting?

Surprisingly my employer's insurance did not have any issues with my W2W racing, but I did just start a new job and ended up having to forfeit the last 3 races of the year due to the absence of short/long term disability; it was a drag.

With that said, congrats Greg and Marvin, I'm never ceased to be amazed by how well the 'ole Z still does. And as usual, outstanding photos by jmark, I wish he was taking pics at our events too...

Thanks guys. I am hoping Greg enters #33 at the ARRC at Road ATL in a few weeks. Location scouting & getting familar with the tracks helps. VIR is one track I know where to shot from. Problem is alot of the races are short sprints and you can't move much because of limited time.

Thanks Ron. I sent Albert (owner of the Roadster) a high res pic. Randy Carter has some shots from the weekend too. Xray there is a strong chance Greg will be running the #33 Z at the ARRC at Road ATL weekend of Nov. 9-11. John Williams 240Z is entered as well. Member David Spillman may be running his newly acquired 240Z too.
