Early gearbox crossmember dims

My crossmember has been mangled badly and I'm about to fabricate a new unit. One side is higher than the other and I'm not sure if this is a stock thing but I doubt it. If anyone has a unmolested one handy that they could measure up, I'd apprecaite it. Pics would be a bonus.

I'm unsure that the crossmember is unique to the A series gearbox or just the early 240z (series 1). It has a solid mount to the chassis unlike the bushed later unit. So if you have a mid to late 71, 72 or 73, you'll have a different crossmember to mine.

James, here in the US the early mount was used at least through 7/71 production, as all three of the 240Zs I have had (10/70, 4/71, 7/71) came with the solid (non-bushed) transmission crossmember. Including - I might add - the 10/70 automatic car. The same crossmember was used for both the Type A 4 speed and the automatic.

As for pictures or specs, your request is about a fortnight too late. I had one sitting in the garage up until then, now both are back in their respective cars.

Well, just go out to the garage, put the lucky car on jack stands, jack under the gearbox, take the strain, undo the crossmember, take pics and measure, then reverse the whole procedure. Should take you...what.....erm...about 8.5 minutes......only kidding.

Anyone else got one hiding out the back of the garage they can get to?

OK James, I measured from the body mounting points to the floor and came up with 89mm. It is the same on both sides. Those measurements were taken from the sheet metal of the floor, not from the floor supports. My floor supports are a little larger than stock so I had to measure from the original sheet metal of the floor.
