People who try to make profit

Forgive my ignorance, but what do you mean by "word!!!" I don't understand the contextual reference.

(Even if I agree with what I think is your opinion that this didn't deserve to be such a focus of attention.)

It's just and acknowlegement of agreement. Kind of a slang term for 'true'.

The listing has changed and now opened with a bid

of $1 - no reserve - currently @ $4950 after 4 bids.

Here's the new link since the original link that was posted isn't working any longer:

I don't see a problem with a guy trying to make a profit on the car. This is America after all and everyone has to make a living one way or another.

Unkle,

I understand where you are coming from and I certainly didn't mean to alienate or be disrespectful to any members who live outside of the U.S., but we're talking about a guy in Chicago who purchased a car in California and specifies on the Ebay listing "Sells to: United States" and nowhere else.

Several years ago when the new MINI came out, many people profited in this way (at least in the US). They would purchase the limited quantities of MINIs at dealer price, then sell them for a noticeable markup because there were not enough to meet demands.

This same thing applies to more than just cars though. Turn on TLC or any other channel for that matter, and find a show about "flipping." Flip this house, junkyard finds, whatever.

Does this attitude make it more difficult for those like us who just want to get a car to work on, or a house to fix up, or a new car? Sure it does.

These are just people working the supply/demand angle.

I bought a Playstation 3 release day and sold it 2 days later for twice what i paid. Its different with that tho because they will always make more until the market is satisfied, same with the mini. But more Z's will never be made at least not S30's.
