beandip Posted November 3, 2007 Share #15 Posted November 3, 2007 Great news . I am happy it was found, and hopefully she is not molested . Did they tell you anything about the car and or charges against it from the impound . Those guys can rape you with trumped up costs. Been there . sblake01 Posted November 3, 2007 Share #16 Posted November 3, 2007 Did you have insurance on it? When mine was stolen in January 2001, my insurance covered everything including the impound and storage charges.EDIT: After going back and reading through your initial post I see that your car was likely not insured. Still it's great news that it was found.

Walter Moore Posted November 3, 2007 Share #19 Posted November 3, 2007 Great news!Hopefully it was just some joy riding kids. I have a friend who's Astro van was stolen twice, and both times he got it back mostly undamaged, after it was found abandoned. Neither time was anyone arrested for the crime...(at one time 80's G.M. products were popular to steal because they were common, and it was easy...)We will pray that they didn't tear it up. 76Datsun280z Posted November 3, 2007 Share #20 Posted November 3, 2007 Great news! Sounds like it's time to buy a Club steering wheel lock.
Go240Zags Posted November 3, 2007 Share #21 Posted November 3, 2007 A friend of mine in Seattle had his old Datsun pickup stolen twice. It was missing something like nine months the first time it was taken and like six months the second time. I guess just about any old datsun/nissan key from the same era would open the door and work the ignition. Both times he got it back it was none worse for wear, just more milage. V8-240Z Posted November 3, 2007 Share #22 Posted November 3, 2007 Great news! Sounds like it's time to buy a Club steering wheel lock. The trunk monkey would be a better solution, and it cleans up the mess that's left of the thief.
