So Cal Event

Hey all you Southern California Z enthusiasts! Speed Ventures is hosting a Datsun/Nissan/Infiniti event at California Speedway Dec 1-2. Events include car show, auto cross course and road race course, (which includes part of the large banked oval track).

Sure would be fun to have a great representation of "old school" Z's on hand. I am signed up for the road race event, green run group, on Sat the 1st. How cool would it be to get some shots of a good group of Z's on a banked oval track!

Ron from O'side. Any thought of bringing your BRE replica 240 out? I saw it in Coronado at Lamar's booth. Would love to see (and hear) it run.

Same here, Probably will be at the Empire Z show on Saturday, and then the Cal Speedway event on Sunday.

This is exactly the kind of trouble I try to explain to guys fortunate enough to have salt on the roads and six months of the year when snow blankets the earth and they don't drive their Z's! It really is hell trying to find time to work on the car when there is a show or driving event literally everyweekend of the year! Oh, to have the luxury of being able to just work on the car every weekend and after work for three to six months straight!

Muahahahaha!

I will second that... Tony D is cruel. My garage isn't even heated.

But I am far enough South that it hasn't started snowing here yet. Our BAD months are December, January, and February. I still plan on leaving the car in the garage until April or May however, just to give the rain time to wash away the road salt.

There is so much going on that weekend, the Empire show or a Car Show for Toys for Tots at Marine Corps Recruit Depot here in San Diego, also the Z Club of San Diego Holiday party is that night. Sunday it would be nice to go to the speedway, but John Force is having his Holiday Car Show at his Yorba Linda Race Station. I think it will be MRCD and JFR for me.

I tell Tony D to burn in hell but that was taken car of last week...LOL

Ok, that's pushing the line a little, I hope no one got hurt and all Z's are safe and accounted for...

That being said, I had the old Z this out morning to get a coffee from Tim Horton's (something you don't have access to in So Cal...so hah!).

Cheers,

We're in and crossing our fingers for some good So-Cal weather for that weekend too.

Sounds great Ron. Not sure SV knows what they will be doing for RV parking this event. We did make note to SV that we are with WCZR group just in case something comes up. Didn't ask for garage space since I have all the tools, gas, guages, supplies, food, drinks and what ever all on board the rig, and the car goes in & out with 2 groups both days... might also need to help out with some other new people on the track too? So I was just playing it by ear and see what plans unfold as it gets closer to the event.

Looking forward to having some fun with the Z, cause we've been going over the car nose to tail looking for anything that needs attention, don't need any break downs...
