How often do you see 240-Z's on the road?

Obviously a lot less than you used to. Yesterday I took a cruise in my 71 , and was delighted to see two different 240's on the road. Both drivers gave me a big wave, one guy in an orange car, gave me the "peace" sign , the other, a silver one, the guy gave me a thumbs up. I thought I could pretty much tell you all the 240's in my area, but I hadn't seen either of these cars before.

Normally you could drive around here for months without seeing a 240-Z.

Reminded me of when I used to own a VW bus. It's like a secret society, other bus owners always wave at you.:P

Yeah, had a wierd week that way...out looking at the new property we are moving to outside Montreal last Wednesday and on the highway returning into the city got passed by a red 260Z (I was in my Sequoia unfortunately). He was flying. I chased and caught up to get a better look at the car. He had a 280Z hood and judging by his ability to accelerate, he was running flat tops.

Next morning I get to the office and one of my employees is all excited. She was out with her 9 & 12 year old boys (both car nuts) and saw a yellow z-car on a flatbed pulling into her neighbourhood. Stated it had a black stripe running down the center (maybe a Zap?).

Not often you see them around in November in Canada.

At least 1 to 3 a day!

I was crusing down a long stretch of road, with the music off and windows down,

to my cusins house.

Sunglasses on, clickin 40 or so, I looked in my drivers side view and saw a Orange

project 280Z bout 5 car lengths behind me.

I gave him the thumbs up and he thumbed back.

Since it was just us two I felt like I was in the '70's ^_^

i rarely ever see them and i drive a good 100 miles a day. i see one but its parked right near my work. Its multi colored and not fully restored, but the guy drives it. It seems to be pretty quick; however, and sounds pretty nice.

Last year I saw 8 different ones around town, though this year I have only seen 2. Some guy owns it at the BMW dealership, 280zx, and the other guy I chatted with in the Autozone parking lot who has a 280z. He had dropped a 350 in there, done several other things to it and it sounded really nice.

I am not sure if the guy is still around, but there was the black dude who owned a black and orange 280z.

Surprisingly I never seen any 90's 300zx. There is only one that I know of that goes to the same college I go to. Only see it in the parking lot, though it is an N/A auto.

This past summer I saw an 80's 300zx Turbo putting around downtown that was pretty neat. They are my next favorite Z's and have been thinking about getting one as a project car and then selling it after it is fixed up.

i've seen a few 240Zs pretty recently, but i've been driving a different car most of the time :P when i did see another 240Z (it was painted flat black like mine, too!) i revved and waved and the guy just looked over and kept driving.

what's odd is that the most recent Z after that 240Z was a Z32. i got a wave and nod of respect from that guy.

i guess it's hit or miss.

...only when I have a chance to go to the local Z club meeting, then I see 3-4. There's one leaf green metallic near me in N Raleigh that I've seen twice.

Hopefully when the Lime is on the road I'll see more!

I like the thumbs up stuff. When I'm in the M Roady I flash my lights and thumbs up other Z3s but they don't seem to be too into it (sigh) Those Bimmer owners are such snobs!

A lot in my immediate area. Much less than there used to be though. I lucked out and met a guy just down the road from me. He has one and there are five of his friends that come over to his place to work on their Z's.

Driving in Orlando FL I might see two or three. We have a nice sized Z club here though. There's plenty.
